Technical Notes |
1. While the Echo Dual NVMe Thunderbolt Dock features a 40Gbps Thunderbolt interface, some Windows computers equipped with Thunderbolt 3 use an x2 PCIe lane implementation of Thunderbolt 3 technology that limits PCIe performance to 20Gbps. 2. Thunderbolt 2 and Thunderbolt 1 devices are supported by macOS when used with the Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter (sold separately). 3. Thunderbolt compatible display adapter required (sold separately). 4. You may install one SSD now and add another later without needing to reformat the existing one. Only 2280 (80mm—the most common length) length M.2 SSDs are supported. M.2 SSDs longer or shorter than 80mm don’t fit. 5. ThunderLok 3 compatible specifically with Sonnet 0.5- and 0.7-meter Thunderbolt cables. |

Sonnet Echo Thunderbolt 3 Dock
Great construction quality, easy to fit the SSDs and get everything working. I put in two Crucial P3 2TB SSDs and get 1340 MB/s write and 1470 MB/s read speeds from my M2 Pro mac mini with them configured as two separate drives. Haven't tried them in RAID config.
