Performance for all older Mac models is limited to 1200/1400 MB/s Read/Write with PCIe 2.0 x2 lanes and 2800MB/s Read/Write on PCIe 3.0 x4 lanes. This is not a limitation of the SSD, it is due to PCIe lanes wiring on the logic board. Only Macs with PCIe 3.0 x4 lanes can utilise higher speed up to 2800MB/s.
For 3rd party (non-Apple NVMe drives) | PCIe lanes wiring | SSD Read speed |

Flexx LX300 1TB NVME SSD
The card arrived quickly and the install was easy using the links on Flexx and guide on iFixit. As per the guides I uploaded macOS Big Sur from the Mac recovery utility and reloaded from a Time Machine backup and it all went smoothly. Now my SSD has so much empty space I'm sure I can hear an echo from inside my Mac. In summary: great service, great product, no-brainer.

Exactly what I expected
The Flash SSD from my 2013 MBAir died, and this is a perfect replacement for it. The details of which laptops it corresponds to made it very easy to find the appropriate SSD and all I was left to do was to chose the amount of memory. The two screwdrivers make this set perfectly self-contained for changing SSD. Perfectly was I was looking for!

LX300 1TB NVME SSD Kit for MacBook Pro, Air and iMac from late 2013 on
MACBOOK Pro early 2015. swapped out the original 256MB SSD. Easy to fit. The online install of MAC OS couldn't see the new drive. So I made a bootable install external HDD. New drive formatted, MACOS installed. Recovered my data with time machine. Installed bootcamp. So I now have a dual boot MAC OS/WIN 10 machine. I've not noticed any change in performance or power consumption just 1TB of storage. Good price too!

Flexx LX300 SSD
Excellent product, very easy for a novice like me to install. Excellent instructions and customer support. This is the first time I've done this and it was so easy. Saved quite a bit of money doing it myself. Excellent value too. Now my laptop is like new, faster and loads of memory too. Cannot praise their customer support enough. Thank you so much once again!
